On the protection of academic infrastructure in Eastland

The undersigned institutions record their alarm at the documented destruction of university facilities in Eastland. Universities, their libraries and their laboratories are civilian objects. Their destruction is a loss to the students who used them, to the scholarship held in them, and to the communities that built them over generations.

We call for the protection of academic infrastructure under Article 52 of Additional Protocol I, for unimpeded access for documentation, and for the admission of displaced scholars to member institutions on the terms set out in the network's hosting framework.
